Jamie Braddock Becomes King of Otherworld – Excalibur # 6

Looks like the legendary Otherworld has a new ruler as Jamie Braddock becomes king of Otherworld as of Excalibur # 6 by Tini Howard and Marcus To.

So there’s a lot of things that happened in between the various issues that have come out and for this issue, we see Rogue getting Apocalypse’s powers and killing him in the process.

Apocalypse is revived back in Krakoa and hits up Jamie Braddock (who was recently revived at the start of the book) and they go back to Otherworld where the X-Men aka Excalibur is going to war to rescue Brian Braddock who is still under control of Morgan le Fay. Apocalypse sets a meeting with Morgan and they do this whole “Trial by Combat” thing to save Brian and crown a new ruler for Otherworld.

During the fight, Brian’s sword stabs him…

And its revealed that Apocalypse brought along Jamie Braddock to Otherworld and he tampered with the fight. And to stop La Fay’s forces from reaching her, Apocalypse orders Jubilee and her kid Shogo (now in the form of a baby dragon) to blast these soldiers with dragon fire.

With all his cards in the table, Apocalypse finally crowns a new king for Otherworld in the form of Jamie Braddock. The new Captain Britain, Betsy Braddock, also coerces her brother to bring back Brian Braddock who died by her hand.

And in case you missed it, two former X-Men villains are currently in power of the magical world of Otherworld. This could again play well with whatever Apocalypse plans to do in the near future.
