Get to Tutuban from IRRI Los Baños with these new PNR trains
For commuters from the South, there’s a new way of commuting soon from PNR as they recently revealed their latest trains; the best part of all of this is the fact that its route is from IRRI in Los Banos Laguna all the way to Tutuban and vice versa.
According to reports the trains are refurbished Kiha 59 Series train from Japan. These are what Japanese refer to as “Kogane” trains. During its initial run in Japan, these trains were used to service the Sendai area.
And if you check out the photos below, you’ll see that they even have bathrooms in the train. One concern I have right now though is how long these toilets can be operational. There’s a lot of people who are really gross when it comes to use of public restrooms.
You can check out the stops for this train ride. The earliest train that leaves IRRI and bound for Tutuban would be 8:14am and the earliest train from Tutuban to IRRI leaves at 4:56pm.
The train is composed of 3 cars, each one with a capacity of around 27 passengers for a total no of 82 seats.
