James Gunn Advices not to get attached with the cast of The Suicide Squad
James Gunn has a great way of unveiling the cast of his upcoming film, The Suicide Squad for Warner Bros Pictures and DC Comics.
In a recent Twitter post, he says: “Don’t Get too Attached”.
Then we get to see the names of the cast including returning cast members like Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney and Harley Quinn herself, Margot Robbie with new names like John Cena, Idris Elba and more.
I’m seeing names of frequent James Gunn collaborators too like Michael Rooker (Yondu in Guardians of the Galaxy), Sean Gunn and Nathan Fillion. All three of these guys have also made their way in Gunn’s two Gotg films for Marvel.
The whole point of Gunn’s tweet is to remind people that not everybody makes it out alive in every violent mission that Amanda Waller sends her Task Force X into. The first movie alone saw the deaths of characters like El Diablo and Slipknot. Even Cara Delavigne’s Enchantress sort of didn’t make it to the end.
