Ian Jones-Quartey is the creator and executive producer of Cartoon Network’s OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes. Jones-Quartey was raised on a steady diet of cartoons and video games and has built a connected world of original heroes across the TV and gaming landscape. His original animation short, OK K.O.! Lakewood Plaza Turbo, was featured in Cartoon Network’s Emmy-winning artist program and then developed into a standalone original mobile game of the same title.
Jones-Quartey started his career as an animation director on Adult Swim’s The Venture Brothers. He later joined Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank as a storyboard artist on Secret Mountain Fort Awesome. He was a storyboard supervisor on the pop culture phenomenon Adventure Time and served as the co-executive producer on the Emmy nominated series Steven Universe.
In 2017, Jones-Quartey was named one of Hollywood’s New Creative Leaders by Variety. He is an alum of the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
