Aquaman Calls Sharks to Kill Parademons

This was one of the coolest scenes from New 52 Aquaman and it appeared in the pages of Justice League, written by Geoff Johns with art by Jim Lee.

With more of Darkseid’s forces appearing on Earth, particularly one from the ocean, the Justice League discuss their next actions. Green Lantern Hal Jordan berates Aquaman, nearly calls him useless. While this was happening a batch of Parademons attack and Aquaman decides to show not only Hal Jordan but the rest of the gathered heroes what he can do.

So he calls great white sharks to attack the Parademons.

There was a survivor that wasn’t ripped to shreds by the sharks that directly attacks Arthur Curry.

This gets ended quickly by way of stabbing.

When the dead Parademon drops to the ground, Aquaman looks at Hal Jordan to which the Green Lantern says “Never Mind”.

And again we see Aquaman discuss how his powers work. It’s not as simple as “talking to fish”.

Pretty solid issue when it came out 7 years ago. I still read “Origins” once in awhile.
