How did Black Widow Get the Space Stone?
If like me you’re tuning on and off on Marvel’s Infinity Wars then you’re probably wondering how Black Widow got the gig of protecting and keeping the Space Stone, which was originally held by Wolverine.
The answer isnt as complicated as what we thought. After bopping around the world at various point and essentially becoming a walking Post-credit scene, Wolverine opts out of handling the space stone. So he calls out the best person who can guard the stone, a not-so-dead Black Widow.
The change of ownership actually happens in Infinity Countdown # 1 where we see that Natasha’s Madripoor vacation has been cut short by the former Avenger and X-Man.
A little history lesson.
Black Widow was supposedly dead after trying to stop Miles Morales from killing Hydra Captain America in Secret Empire.
Meanwhile Logan died in Death of Wolverine but was brought back years later at the final pages of Marvel Legacy where he managed to get the space stone.
Could this be caused by his encounter with Loki or his current status as Solteira’s new toy leading up to the first issue of Return of Wolverine by Charles Soule and Steve McNiven.
