X-Force Returns to Avenge Cable – Extermination #2

This week’s Extermination # 2 reveals that Cable’s classic team known as X-Force returns to some extent and its all because of the death of Cable.

So before we proceed, spoiler alert

So in this issue, we see young Cable makes his move again by kidnapping the former mutate Mimic. We then see Shatterstar joining the collected mutants in the Xavier School which also features the former members of X-Force all drawn together and wearing familiar costumes reminiscent of their 90s attire.

Kitty Pryde tries to make a plan which includes splitting up the young X-Men into different locations and being protected by four different X-Men teams. Cyclops storms out of the school with Angel following suit. Before they can go any further, Angel gets tranq’d followed by Beast. Cyclops and Jean go on the offensive with Scott Summers eventually unmasking the hooded figure as a younger Cable.

Cyclops gets his visor separated from him and Cable tries to attack Jean Grey but is stopped, he is forced to retreat but brings along an unconscious Warren.

The X-Men arrive too late and they regroup. Kitty tries to persuade the remaining X-Men to stick with the plan and Jean Grey takes the initiative to stick with Cable’s former crew, X-Force, who were bunched up on one end.

I also realize that Rictor and Feral are nowhere in sight for this.
