SDCC 2018 – Ghost Spider, Spider-Force and Superior Octopus Creative Teams Announced

Still from SDCC 2018, we’ve got new details for Spider-folks including the creative teams for three new books namely Ghost Spider, Superior Octopus and a new team book called Spider-Force.

We tackled this a week or two ago, but we only had the covers but not the creative team. Now we have the teams including the cover artists too.

Spider-Gwen will now be going by Ghost Spider and will be written by Seanan McGuire, artist Rosi Kämpe and cover artist Bengal. As of now, we still don’t know if the book will be set in Spider-Gwen’s native dimension or if she’ll be travelling to the main Marvel Universe.

Superior Octopus

the adventures of a younger anti-heroic Doctor Octopus will be written by Christos Gage with artist Mike Hawthorne and cover artist Travis Charest.

Spider-Force

Spider-Force, from writer Christopher Priest, artist Paolo Siqueira and cover artist Shane Davis, features a team that includes Kaine, Spider-Woman, Spider-Girl from the Old Man Logan universe and two brand new characters.

Two other Spider-Man related books in the works announced during SDCC include Spider-Girls, from writer Jody Houser and artist Andres Genolet, features Mayday Parker, Anya Corazon and Annie May Parker from Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows.

Another book I’m excited to read is Vault of Spiders which is set to feature TOEI’s Supaidaman.
