Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps # 35 References Pro-Wrestling’s Four Horsemen and Hal Needs to be Ric Flair

Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps # 35 has a sneaky reference to the classic pro-wrestling stable known as the Four Horsemen which had in their ranks Ric Flair and Arn Andersonl and the issue was so good because of that.

The issue was written by Robert Venditti with interior art by Jack Herbert.

So in this issue, we start with the meeting of the four Green Lanterns – Hal Jordan, Kyle Rayner, John Stewart and Guy Gardner.

Guy totally made a wrestling reference didn’t he?

Later on in the story, we also get the Four Horsemen’s signature hand sign again in a thick situation where the four corpsmen (no pun intended) take cover and plan their next move.

This little bravado moment also empowers the four Green Lanterns to face the forces that they are facing.

With that they manage to rescue Ganthet.
