Brenton Thwaites as Robin in Official Photo for Teen Titans

We got ourselves our first look at actor Brenton Thwaites in his Robin costume for the upcoming DC Comics-inspired Titans series.

Thwaites, who also appeared in this year’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales was cast a few months ago as Dick Grayson who bands together with other superpowered teens.

So while Thwaites was cast as Robin/ Dick Grayson (and he certainly looks the part too) there are still a few questions I have to pose in this post.

If this is really Dick why is he using a bo staff, the trademark weapon of the third Robin – Tim Drake…

… while Dick uses escrima sticks when he fights.

Speaking of Nightwing, Brenton Thwaites as Robin IS Robin so when will he transition to Nightwing? I seriously hope they do a TV version of the classic Teen Titans story “The Judas Contract” where Nightwing debuted.
