The Filipino Spirit Flies High as EK Celebrates 22 on Oct. 22
It will be an EKciting October as the Philippines’ premiere theme park Enchanted Kingdom (EK) marks another year of achievements, recognitions and its strengthened commitment to building national pride. Aptly themed “the Filipino Spirit Flying High,” EK celebrates its 22 years on October 22, a milestone that is shared with all its guests and partners who have supported Enchanted Kingdom.
EK’s 22 on 22 Anniversary line up was presented during its Media Launch held on Oct. 7, Saturday at the Eldar’s Tent. EK Chairman and President Mario O. Mamon gave the welcome remarks and expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support from the media and partners for the past 22 years. He said, “EK is a business built on a dream, fueled by professionalism, strong faith and exceptional service which we share with almost 2 million guests every year.”
Dr. Cynthia R. Mamon, EK Chief Operating Officer announced that for this coming anniversary EK will bring twice the fun and double the magic for all park guests because the country’s two giant TV networks are joining this celebration. Whether you are Kapuso or Kapamilya, it is star power twice over as the biggest and most sought-after celebrities jumpstart and cap off the whole month’s festivities. More importantly, Dr. Mamon announced that EK is supporting the BANGON MARAWI local products which aim to bring hope to the locals of Marawi and boost the indomitable Filipino spirit as EK flies high at 22!
October 7 is Kapuso FUNTASTIC AFTERNOON at EK. GMA Teleserye fans had a special treat at the very first EK’s pre-anniversary events. GMA shows such as Impostora, Haplos, Ika-6 na Utos and Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko kicked off a star-studded show at the AGILA Theater Grounds last Oct. 7 from 6:00-8:30PM. The brightest Kapuso celebrities like Rocco Nacino, Thea Tolentino, Sanya Lopez, Pancho Magno, Dayara Shane, Vaness del Moral, Yuan Francisco, Patani Dano, Julius Miguel, Chlaui Malayao, David Remo and special guests performed live in the event dubbed as Kapuso FUNTastic Afternoon.
October 14 is for Bida Kapamilya Day. The excitement at the AGILA Theater Grounds continues with ABS-CBN talents gracing this jampacked Saturday. A day’s worth of surprises and entertainment will surely wow all park guests, so be ready to mix, mingle and take your groufies with the Kapamilya network’s hottest celebrities; The Voice Teens, YEY Kids, TNT Divas, Noven Belleza, Showtime Hashtags, PBB Teens, Magandang Buhay, La Luna Sangre,Wildflower and Ms. Angel Locsin. Catch them live on Oct. 14 from 11am – 8pm at Enchanted Kingdom Parking 2.
EK 22 on 22 Concert. The much-awaited spectacle of stars happens on October 22. Expect a night of music and magic courtesy of one of the Philippines’ hottest love teams today- Nadine Lustre and James Reid, better known as JADINE! The Juans, Arjo Atayde and Yassi Pressman will also be present to entertain all park guests. Host extra-ordinaire and showbiz royalty Luis Manzano will lend his trademark gab and spunk as the night’s master of ceremonies. What a night it’s going to be!
There’s more to the celebration of course! After witnessing JADINE in the flesh, walk over to the Spaceport at 8:30PM for the Skywizardry Fireworks Competition to light up the night sky. Hosted by Ms. Angel Aquino and Yoni Mamon, with wholesome twosome Ella Cruz and Julian Trono performing for the crowd, expect the night’s fanfare to end with a momentous high!
