Blue Beetle and Booster Gold Funko Pop Announced
This is not a drill. Funko and DC Comics are coming out with a special two pack featuring Blue Beetle and Booster Gold Funko Pop figures!
We will have two versions of that as well. One in regular vinyl and another one in metallic. If you’re a serious fan though I suggest you get both. Metallics also get a higher resale value if you’re that sort of collector.
Blue Beetle was created by Steve Ditko and is the second to use the code name. Ted Kord was an adventurer and businessman who took over the role. Since he wasn’t able to interface with the scarab, he used his smarts to become the superhero instead. Both him and Booster Gold made it to the Justice League but Ted was ultimately killed by Maxwell Lord before the events of Infinite Crisis.
Booster Gold is Michael Jon Carter. He was created by Dan Jurgens and first appeared in Booster Gold # 1 in February 1986. He pretty much pilfered his stuff with the help of his robot sidekick from the 31st Century, Skeets. Booster traveled back in time to become a superhero and has become a mainstay for both the Justice League and Justice League International.
Anyway, no release date yet for the two but if you’re a big DC fan, you wouldn’t want to miss these two.
