Batman v Superman Concept Art Shows a Different Costume for Batman

Looks like a different costume was supposed to be used for Ben Affleck’s Batman for Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

This costume designed by artist Jerad S. Marantz following the costume designs of Michael Wilkinson. It definitely has some Batman Arkham Knight influences in it.

Before long however they settled for a more traditional look which was what we got in the film. Also here’s a look at that design in it’s earlier phases.

The cowl is there but the armored plating is still present but it got muted to some extent.  We also get a glimpse of the initial design for the Bat logo they used for BvS’ film logo and Batman’s insignia.

The detail for this Batman concept art is astounding to be honest. Below is a last look focusing on Batman’s backside.
