Go Nagai’s Mazinger Z movie teaser trailer has been released online and it looks ABSOLUTELY amazing!

According to the reports and based on the Mazinger Z movie teaser trailer, the movie will be set ten years after the events of the series. Protagonist Koji Kabuto has become a scientist just like his grandfather in the original TV series. And just like the classic tropes for animes and movies, he is once again called into the conflict after the resurgence of the monsters he fought a decade ago.

In the announcement event for the new movie, they also showcased suit designs for the main characters plus the voice actors. Koji Kabuto will be voiced by Showtaro Morikubo

Meanwhile Koji’s main squeeze Sayaka Yumi will be voiced by Ai Kayano

Lastly, acclaimed singer Ichiro Mizuki will be doing a track for the new movie. Too bad we didn’t get anything from Mizuki in the current Mazinger Z movie teaser trailer but I’m sure that they’ll be putting it somewhere in the subsequent promotions.
