Black Adam’s Wife Isis Joining Legends of Tomorrow Season 3

CW has announced another character joining the ranks of Legends of Tomorrow season 3 and its one that might appeal towards the American-Muslim community and its none other than Black Adam’s wife Isis.

Actress Tala Ashe has been added to the cast of Legends of Tomorrow for its third season and she’ll be playing the character Zari Adrianna Tomaz, a female archeologist who would one day become Black Adam’s bride. For the moment though she’ll be “hacktivist” unaware of mystical powers growing within her.

Tomaz lives a double-life as a “hacktivist,” trying to carve-out her own place in a decaying society…unaware of the mystical power that grows within her.

In the comics, Tomaz played a rather important role during the “52” storyline. She had met Black Adam and was later empowered as the heroine Isis…

She and her brother Osiris becomes part of a new Black Marvel family under the leadership of Black Adam. As the story progresses and as things unravel, the family breaks apart with Isis eventually dying after being poisoned by the Horseman known as Pestilence,

She has been a villain and a ruler for most of the time in her comic book appearances but it looks like Legends of Tomorrow will be borrowing more of her New 52 characterization and stick with that.

That or maybe they’ll eventually crossover with characters from the Shazam mythos. Who knows right?
