Middle-Earth: Shadow of War Delayed for Two More Months
One of the games I am definitely looking forward to play later in the year is Middle-Earth: Shadow of War for the Playstation 4. Now I’m totally bummed out that the game will be delayed for an additional two months.
The announcement about the delay for the game was done by Warner Bros. Interactive. Middle Earth: Shadow of War was originally marketed with an August release date but the publisher has announced that it will be going for an October 2017 release date instead.
If we are going to take everything that Monolith and WB Interactive is saying, it looks like the developers needed more time to fine-tune and polish a lot of things for the game including their much-vaunted Nemesis System.
Here’s the statement that the developers released via Warner Interactive:
Middle-earth: Shadow of War expands gameplay in every dimension, including the massive open world, the story, the RPG systems, and personal player stories of the Nemesis System. As with Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Monolith is committed to delivering the highest quality experience. In order to do this, we have made the difficult decision to move our launch date to ensure that Middle-earth: Shadow of War will deliver on that promise.
We understand that it might be disappointing to have to wait a little longer for the release and are sorry for the delay, but we are working hard to make an amazing game. We’re excited to show more at E3.
Wow! They have more for E3 already? As if the content for Middle-Earth: Shadow of War isn’t as extensive as it is already? Or that there’s no shortage of video content relating to the subject on YouTube.
But hey, I’m not going to complain anymore, looks like we have a sure winner for this action-RPG game.
