Top 10 Badass and/or Metal Bible Verses
5. As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another – Proverbs 27:17
This one perfectly focuses on how you deal with rivals or with a person who wants you to surpass them. There’s definitely a biblical mention about its steel that works well with steel especially when honing. People version: Naruto Uzumaki versus Sasuke Uchiha.
4 He hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter. Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcasses, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood. – Isiah. 34:2-3
It’s scary when they say that mountains will be melted with their blood. That’s a massive amount of blood right there. That’s not even a river of blood, that’s an ocean of blood.
3 Looking about and seeing no one, he slew the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. – Exodus 2:12
Moses was a bad ass and could have probably keep Metal Gear Solid protagonist Solid Snake on his toes. In his moment of clarity he sees an Egyptian hurting an Israelite slave so bad that he gets triggered and proceeds to kill that mofo AND bury his body in the sand.
He even had to foresight to look around and when he saw that the coast was clear, he smoked that turkey’s a$$.
2 From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some boys came out of the town and jeered at him. “Get out of here, baldy!” they said. “Get out of here, baldy!” He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the Lord. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys. – 2 Kings 2:23-24
This is biblical level of comeuppance right here. So when a bunch of people talk smack about you, remember that the same thing happen to the prophet Elisha and there were bears that torn a couple of these kids. Take note too, that in some versions, these kids weren’t mauled but rather killed and torn to shreds by these same bears that God sent.
1. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. – Psalms 23:4
Admit it. If you were the child of the 90s you already know most of the lines from this verse because it was used in the Coolio’s Gangsters Paradise; and that was a huge hit back then. But peel away the popculture reference and you’ll see that its a prayer about being able to walk through some pretty mean stuff and not having to worry that you’ll be iced. It’s a affirmation of faith but its also a badass mantra.
