Rogue One Star Diego Luna Might Just Play Tony Montana in Scarface Remake
Yes kids, Hollywood isn’t done with remakes and now its looking to make more cash by doing a Scarface remake with Rogue One‘s Diego Luna in the forefront to play Tony Montana.
Variety reports that the Scarface remake is pushing through despite some setbacks here and there. One of their sources gave them an unconfirmed report that the film will feature Diego Luna as the new lead while also stating that the director attached to the project Antoine Fuqua (The Magnificent Seven) has departed from it.
Terence Winter wrote the screenplay for the Scarface remake and will be utilizing elements from both the 1932 and the 1983 version of ‘Scarface’ and giving it a more modern take. So rather than using Italian immigrants in Chicago or Al Pacino’s Cuban refugee in Miami we will be getting a Mexican immigrant in Los Angeles and his subsequent rise to power.
I don’t care about other details as long as they find a way to include this classic montage…
No release date and confirmation though for the casting of Diego Luna. So I guess we’ll have to wait.
