Happy 20th Anniversary Soulcalibur!
The Soulcalibur franchise has been around for a long time and Bandai Namco made sure that people remembered that it’s been around for as long as other fighting games have been like Tekken and Street Fighter. So today they’ve released the Soulcalibur 20th anniversary trailer!
Watch the trailer below:
The trailer highlights all of the Soulcalibur games released up until now, including Soul Edge (1996), Soulcalibur (1998), Soulcalibur II (2002), Soulcalibur III (2005), Soulcalibur IV (2008), Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny (2009), Soulcalibur V (2012), and Soulcalibur: Lost Swords (2014). There is nothing about the future, but if the tagline of the 20th anniversary logo is to go by, “The Legend Will Never Die.”
One of the best memories for this fighting game title I have is that time they added in Ezio from Assassin’s Creed to as a hidden player. That was such a treat for me as a big Assassin’s Creed fanboy.
It just made perfect sensne to have the leader of the Rennaisance era Assassins go head to head against some of the baddest and meanest swordsmen and swordswomen of the mediaval times.
