Ed Boon Teases Addition of Spawn and Sub-Zero for Injustice 2
Injustice 2 will still take awhile to hit stores but NetherRealms head honcho Ed Boon doesn’t want to let the hype die down which is why he holds polls related to the fighting game. The recent polls are up and it looks like fans want to see Mortal Kombat’s Sub-Zero make an appearance in the game as well as Todd McFarlane’s Spawn.
Here’s the results from Boon’s Injustice 2 related poll on his Twitter account:
Almost 20,000 of you spoke and it seems like Subzero would be your choice of an MK guest character in Injustice 2. We hear ya….. pic.twitter.com/xmtDYcWEDb

Choices weren’t that bad to be honest for the Mortal Kombat X category anyway I mean sure, Raiden and Johnny Cage are fresh choices to appear in a DC fighting game but who in their right minds would want to pass up on the chance to play as a cryogenic ninja with a mad on for frozen fatalities?
Also its not like Sub-Zero’s rival Scorpion hasn’t made an appearance in an Injustice game before…
Over at the non-MK category where Spawn won the poll, its up to NetherRealms to talk to McFarlane for Spawn to make an appearance in Injustice 2. I doubt that there would be any problems too as Spawn’s creator Todd McFarlane has been very much aggressively pushing the character to mainstream consciousness once more after enjoying some time in the spotlight a decade or so ago.
We’re perfectly fine with the idea of adding in these characters as long as it doesn’t affect with the DC characters appearing in the game. There’s like a dozen or so cool characters from the DC Comics library that BADLY needs to be produced as a game character.
