Third Wolverine Movie will be Called LOGAN, New Poster and Release Date Revealed
Hugh Jackman’s last appearance as Wolverine starts the hype train today with a new poster, a release date and new details released for the film simply called Logan.
You can check out the poster just after the cut.
So there you have it, LOGAN will be released March 3, 2017 and will still star Hugh Jackman (for the last time) as Wolverine/ James Howlett / Logan. It’s also a dead giveaway that this would be a live-action adaptation of the story Old Man Logan written by Mark Millar with art by Steve McNiven.
And here’s what Jackman looked like during the production of the film, sporting white beard similar to his co-X-Men star Patrick Stewart, who reprises his role of Charles Xavier.
If 20th Century Fox learned anything from this year’s mega-hit Deadpool its that violence with the right character sells and it looks like they won’t skip on showing dismembered human parts as Wolverine will be getting an R-rating or what I like to call the Comic Book Movie’s grim & gritty era.
James Mangold, who directed The Wolverine, also returns to helm the film which may or may not pave the way for a solo X-23 movie starring the current Wolverine and all-around young adult clone of Wolverine’s, Laura Kinney.
To hype up the release of the poster, Mangold also went to Twitter to share the poster after being mounted on the side of a building. Oh and there’s a script/ screenplay involve too!
Logan hits theaters March 3, 206
