Converse Previews Chuck Taylor All Star II Shield Canvas for their Fall/Holiday 2016 Collection

Converse Philippines recently held a special press event to unveil the new Chuck Taylor All Star II Shield Canvas and we have to say that the entire #CounterClimate event and collection will make you fear less about going out despite the monsoon rains we frequently experience in the Philippines.

The press event was classy as it was held at the Sky High Bar in Ace Hotel, Pasig. Pretty neat if you ask me. Plus the view of the night sky was just breathtaking.

Admittedly this was my first time in the place. Definitely warrants a revisit before the end of the year.

So going back to the #CounterClimate Converse event, we started off with something WONDERFUL. Media attendees receive their own pair of All Star II Shield Canvas.

 

Gotta love the color combination and the shoe lace. It’s a perfect pair of kicks for this season too. But we’ll get to that later.

The event was graced by local celebrities…

… as well as  rock royalty like The Dawn

Yeah, even the band were sporting those nice Shield Canvas kicks to celebrate the occassion.

Also since they did a stellar performance, The Dawn certainly worked up the crowd.

And now for the part we’re all waiting for, the different sneakers that will be hitting Converse stores this quarter. Let’s begin with another look at the Chuck Taylor All Star II Shield Canvas…

The Shield Canvas returns with better designs, some internal changes while still retaining the water-resistant qualities that made the first version such a big hit not just for the sneaker freaks out there but also for the casual consumers who want good quality footwear.
