Rachel Anne Daquis is FHM Philippines’ June 2016 Cover Girl
OK I admit, I barely know anything about Rachel Anne Daquis other than the fact that she’s a hottie, has a massive fanbase, an awesome volleyball player and has graced FHM’s covers a number of times already. And as we enter the midway of 2016, she’s back and sexier than ever.
Hehehe. Props also for getting the hashtag #FHMRAD
From the FHM Philippines website:
May muse Andi Eigenmann sure knows how to end a cover stint: turn heads at the Cannes Film Festival, even stealing some of the spotlight from mom and Best Actress Jaclyn Jose.
Speaking of headturners, our June Cover Girl doesn’t need a red carpet to get everybody’s attention. Allow us to introduce you to this month’s comeback queen, Rachel Anne Daquis.
The Queen Volleybelle ditches her game gear for the second time to bare her perfect physique (read: abs and legs), sculpted by years of spiking, diving, and putting her life on the line for the sport. By the looks of things, we could go as far as saying that the woman fondly called RAD by her fans is still the face of local women’s volleyball, despite being removed from her UAAP glory days for quite some time now.
But before she became the Rachel Anne Daquis, the 28-year-old sexy spiker had to face a rough start. UP rejected her, UST wait-listed her, before she ended up in FEU.
“I know my handicaps when it comes to sports,” she says. “But the rejections and disappointments molded me to become the person I am today. Plus the fact that I went through all the hardships, and doing all the hard work all those years, sinasabi ko sa sarili ko, ‘Ngayon ka pa ba susuko?'”
True enough, Rachel Anne rewarded her alma mater, as she was named Best Server in Season 69, steering the Lady Tamaraws to a championship the following season. Her collegiate success carried on to the Shakey’s V-League, where she won multiple MVP awards.
But it wasn’t just in volleyball where she was winning.
Behind her natural comeliness in front of the camera are her understated catwalk credentials. Did you know that Rachel Anne was actually offered a modeling contract after auditioning for Germany’s Next Top Model a couple of years ago?
Laughing at the thought, she says, “Dun yata nagsimula yung lakas ng loob ko. Punta ako nang punta sa go-see kahit alam ko na hindi naman ako makukuha.”
Well, we have that stalled modeling career to thank for; we basically had Rachel Anne for ourselves the past two years. This appearance, her second FHM cover, gives RAD her well-earned due.
In this month’s issue, Rachel Anne is flanked by acclaimed director Brillante Mendoza, memory masters teaching us their ways, and young martyrs to serve as inspiration, among others.
FHM June 2016 is now available in supermarkets, convenience stores, newsstands, and bookstores nationwide!

You have to admit that she’s really, really pretty. Why am I not a fan of this gal from the get-go?
As a bonus, here are some of her other non-FHM photos taken through the years. This gal is also a killer in beach volley or so I heard.
The beach loves her, the camera loves her and her own body loves her.
Miss Daquis, I am now officially a fan!
