Alicia Vikander is Lara Croft for New Tomb Raider Movie
Actress Alicia Vikander has been officially cast as the new Lara Croft for a slew of new Tomb Raider movies.
The actress has done a couple of high profile projects in the past but is now ready to take over Angelina Jolie’s vaunted role in the early 2000s. Vikander made it big last year by appearing in movies like “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” and “Ex Machina”. She is slated to join Matt Damon in the new Bourne movie ‘Jason Bourne’.
The Tomb Raider reboot will be directed by The Wave’s Roar Uthaug (which I think is a very cool name) and is believed to follow the ‘origins’ game which was released a few years ago by Square Enix.
Interestingly enough, her boyfriend, Michael Fassbender will also be starring in his own video game adaptation. Fassbender will be topbilling the first live-action Assassin’s Creed game which is slated to be released next year.
