Empire Adds More Photos for X-Men: Apocalypse with Cast in their Closest-to-Comics Costumes
New stuff from the upcoming issue of Empire gives us a better look at the cast of X-Men: Apocalypse in their costumes.
Sorry, that photo’s for thumbnail purposes only. Here’s a better look:
Take note though that this is as close as can be from their comic book counterparts’ costume. Alexadra Shipp’s Storm looks A LOT like 90’s Storm’s costume. Look at Quicksilver’s costume?! Look at J. Law’s Mystique costume?!
I mean, just look at Nightcrawler’s red and black costume! It’s like they’ve managed the camp of some of the X-Men’s costumes with real world sensibilities. But the leather is still there. Guess we can’t do anything about that anymore.
Speaking of Nightcrawler, there’s another photo with him and Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey.
Sucks though that they didn’t fight off Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) and his Horsemen in their traditional costume.
One such Horseman that looked like shite before getting transformed is Archangel. He’s got this “Lost Boys” look on him and his wings are dirty. This could be before he gets his wing injury which prompts him to join Apocalypse.
Speaking of Apocalypse, Singer and company are hell-bent on staying to the source material as possible. They even made sure that Apocalypse gets a life transference scene in Egypt during what I assume is the opening part of the film.
The film gets getting more promising with each new promotional release. I could even forgive them for putting Jennifer Lawrence’s “human” form in the poster rather than her Mystique look.
