Dark Nights Death Metal # 2 Introduces The Darkest Knight

Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo continues to bring more twists and turns in Dark Nights Death Metal with the introduction of the character known as The Darkest Knight.

While this Darkest Knight character may just be the most powerful version of Batman ever, he’s not a new character at all. He’s actually the resurrected Batman Who Laughs whose brain has been transferred into the body of a Bruce Wayne/Doctor Manhattan hybrid from another alternate universe.

So the summary of this is that with The Death of the Batman Who Laughs, the evil Batmen working for him have enacted a plan in which they would transfer his brain into the body of a Batman/Doctor Manhattan hybrid to make him stronger. The second strategy was to lull the heroes into thinking that they are one step towards winning which is what exactly happens in Death Metal # 2.

This issue is also the origin point for this new evil Robin called the Robin King which is really interesting. Oh and you know how heartless the Darkest Knight is? He actually waved the other Batmen out of existence including the B-Rex. That’s cold.
