Acecraft, the world’s first hand-drawn co-op vertical shooter from international gaming developer and publisher MOONTON Games, launches its second season on 26 September. Season 2 introduces the “Super Sports Games”, Acecrafts first major themed update and debuts a new pilot: Botto, the steadfast tortoise whose patience and grit make him unlike any other pilot in the skies.
The update follows a successful global launch that saw Acecraft top the iOS Free App charts in 34 countries and surpass millions of downloads, cementing its place as one of 2025’s breakout mobile titles.
Meet Butto: A tortoise built for the long game
At 280 years old, Botto has seen it all. Patient, methodical, and utterly unshakable, his calm approach to life is rooted in an unusual passion: shrimp fishing. His dream of catching the legendary Golden Calyx Shrimp has taken him across seas and jungles, but now his journey leads to Acecraft, where his resilience becomes a weapon.
Botto is Acecraft’s first S-rank Water attribute pilot, the highest class reserved only for the rarest and most powerful characters, and he plays exactly as you would expect from a tortoise who has perfected the art of waiting. True to his nature, he trades speed for unbreakable defence and calculated control, turning bullet-hell chaos into an exercise in patience.
Botto’s passive skills and special skills have a “bullet elimination effect”, which allows him to clear incoming projectiles from the screen. In dense bullet storms, where most players rely purely on dodging, Buba’s abilities carve out safe zones, giving pilots precious breathing room. For players who thrive under pressure, Buba offers a new way to tackle Acecraft’s bullet-hell chaos: steady, deliberate, and untouchable.
The tortoise and the hare take flight in the Super Sports Games
