REDMI 15C Review

Here’s my Redmi 15C Review which is now available in stores featuring a 6.9-inch HD+ display, 33W fast charging technology a 50MP main camera!

Design

The unit comes with the standard design with the front having a pinhole front camera, a two camera system at the back with LED lights and the plastic overall design with a blue and white galactic colorway.

The Redmi 15C also loves its branding that’s why we have the Redmi logo embossed in grey and a stylized Redmi 15C. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and power button on the side together with the volume control.

Display

The smartphone’s display is up to par too with a large 6.9-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 720 x 1600 resolution, a 20:9 Aspect Ratio and surprisingly, a 120Hz screen Refresh Rate. In terms of protection, you’ll also get the standard Corning Gorilla Glass 3 which assures you that you’re not getting scratches on your phone that easily.

Personally, I love the display size because of the aspect ratio and the tactile size of the display itself. The brightness is just OK for me, bright enough for using in the dark but its kind of “meh” when using it under direct sunlight.

Camera

The Redmi 15C comes with a 50MP main camera/rear camera as well as a 8MP front camera/ selfie camera. In well-lit conditions, the color is a little muted but the quality is pretty good for an entry level smartphone. The contrast also works well with

For night shots, the REDMI 15C also does it’s job no more no less.

UI/UX

For the Redmi 15C’s UI and UX, I’d say it’s also standard as it comes. It runs on Android 15 masked with the HyperOS 2 Software and on the hardware aspect, it’s got a decent MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra processor. The review unit that I got had a powers the device with either 4GB, 6GB or 8GB of RAM and the HyperOS 2 software.

Performance

Performance is very standard according to it’s Geekbench score. Single core of 400+ is also a good indication of the phone’s stability.

Battery

As always, the battery life of this Xiaomi product is good with a massive 6,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging technology. And yes, it’s entry level so you can expect a little downplay here and there. Still at 33W fast charging, you’ll be able to continue taking photos or videos in less than an hour. That’s a good deal if you ask me.

The REDMI 15C is now available at different variants. The REDMI 15C review unit I got is the 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM and its SRP is ₱5,299.00. Meanwhile the 6GB+128GB variant SRP is ₱5,799.00 and the best one of the wave is 8GB+ 256GB will be priced at ₱6,599.00.
