realme 15T Unboxing

Design

I liked this product partly because it looks and feels like an iPhone especially with the aesthetic and the back design. I did prefer the Suit Titanium but you can also pick out the “Flowing Blue” color. The camera part not only looks good but is also built to withstand just about anything thanks to the Aluminum Alloy used for the lens module.

One advantage that the Titanium version has over the Flowing Blue is that it’s thinner and lighter clocking in at 7.79mm and 181 grams respectively.

Also while it does have a big battery, you’ll barely notice it since this product’s so slim.

It’s also dual-SIM ready or you can swap out one SIM card and replace it with an expandable micro-SD card to save more files, photos and videos.

Display

The realme 15T comes with a 120Hz AMOLED Display which also has 4,000 Nits at peak use. It’s got an incredibly good refresh rate of 120Hz which gives the feeling of using a smoother and faster phone and its also a staple now for most mid-range smartphones that have been released in 2025. The 6.57″ display is also a step above the regular phones that have been released because it provides more screen area.

Resolution is also one of the things I always look out for in a smartphone and for the realme 15T and it’s got pretty solid resolution with Full HD+ 1080*2372. I feel like it’s good enough to enough big cinematic moments on your phone when streaming.

Let’s talk about display real estate. This AMOLED screen also comes with neat bezels that are just about the right size for your viewing pleasure. The left and right side have 1.73mm while the top has 1.67mm and the bottom has 2.23mm which is good considering how much space you need for your basic functions like the “Home” and “Back” button. Screen protector is also still objectively better than others out in the market for the price range and also realme’s way of saying we care for you even if it’s not the premium product we used and that’s the DT Star D+.

Camera

This device also comes with a pretty decent camera. Both the front and the main camera come with 50MP AI cameras with LED flash built-in. This flips the common dynamic of having the front camera having a lower resolution than the main camera. The main camera takes some really great shots whether its in a well-lit room or a place that’s got low light. Here are some samples:

Just like the previous realme model, the realme 15T can also be used to take photos outdoors and even in pools or rivers thanks to its IP66, IP68, and IP69 rating.

The realme 15T main camera also features soft-light filters and lighting effects for added variety and personalization. This smartphone comes with a quirky little feature called the AI Lighting Effect which basically lets you choose how the lights appear in your processed images taken using the phone. It not only livens up your night and street photos but also elevate it to something more appealing and perfect for social media postings. Here are some sample shots taken with the different filters and photo modes on the realme 15T:

Through the AI Lighting Effect you can change street lights to heart shaped lights

Or choose the “Starburst” option

Night Photography is also taken care of with the 15T. It’s not as powerful as it’s bigger siblings under the realme 15 Series line but it still gets the job done. Even great is that it’s got decent stabilization without actually having legit stabilization functions…

Meanwhile the realme 15T’s front camera comes with a 50MP Front AI Camera lens with a 1/2.88″ sensor and a 22mm focal point. It also features Photo Mode, Video Mode, Portrait Mode, Night Mode, Panorama, Dual-View Video, Time-Lapse, Underwater. Here’s a sample using the phone’s front camera.

Battery

The realme 15T also comes with a massive 7000mAh battery that’s perfect for people on the go. The 7000mAh battery is a monster of a battery that can go for a long time without having the need to charge and I even used it heavily on games and other entertainment apps like Netflix and Crunchyroll. My usage and the data compiled by realme also speak the same information. For starters it can last for a long time, going for as much as more than 24 hours on standby while according to realme it can go for around 596 hours on standby.

There’s also fast charging options here for the realme 15T. This smartphone comes with 60W SUPERVOOC Charging that gets you back in action in the shortest amount of time. You get 50% charge in 31 minutes while 100% charge in 75 minutes. Even better is that you can get up to 1 hour of gaming with as much as 5 minutes worth of charge.

You can also expect the following this monster of a battery:

-128.4 hours of Spotify
-25.3 hours of YouTube
-24.4 hours of video calls (ZOOM)
-13 hours of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

UI and UX

Another big highlight for the realme 15T is the High Performance 5G Processor it comes along with, namely the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Max which works hand-in-hand with the 6050mm² Cooling System that makes it do incredible computing power without having to suffer from heating issues. This comes in handy when playing your favorite mobile games or doing other graphics-heavy activities such as editing videos for TikTok or Youtube!

If you’re a multitasker, you’ll also be happy to know that the AI Multitasker setting which makes the phone remember the top 3 apps that you use and with that data, will open faster when you hit the specific app.

The Dimensity 6400 MAX processor also helps in heavier computing power, minimizing heating issues. To paint a better picture it’s like having an up-to-date sedan type car strapped with the midrange sports car engine. So no issues or qualms over here. This also works extremely well for content creators who edit their Tiktok videos or reels on their phone.

I ran some basic test for this using the 3D Mark app particularly for two versions of the 3D Mark Stress Test and here are screenshots of the results…

And here’s the Wild Life Stress Test Result

Lastly, the realme 15T has an AnTuTu score of 480,000,

Gaming

Thanks to the aforementioned MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Max, you can always expect good game. In fact, you can run up to 60FPS on certain games that could have been deemed too demanding for other phones that are currently out in the market. So even if you max out the stats on games like Honor of Kings or Mobile Legends, you can expect the unit to be constantly cool.

I am amused that we’re getting this level of quality on a phone in 2025 that hits all the sweet spots that consumers look for namely:

  1. Battery Life with fast charging capabilities
  2. Good screen with nice refresh rate
  3. Dedicated RAM for games which also includes GT Boost and Geek power tuning
  4. Superior quality sounds and audio

Fortunately, the realme 15T has all that and more.

realme 15T review – Final Thoughts

The realme 15T comes with all the good stuff for such a nice price point which begins at ₱16,999 for the 8GB+256GB model and ₱19,999 for the 12GB+512GB model in the Philippines. You’ve got the same beauty and craftsmanship we’ve all come to expect from realme products while also enjoying great functions including a waterproof phone that can withstand the toughest bumps, great display, a favorable output for gaming so you’re gaming needs are properly met with and a good and solid audio. It’s also got a ton of neat camera functions not just for the main camera but also for the front camera allowing you to get good selfies with an improved resolution. The AI functions and features are also neatly packed here and barely modified compared to the higher models of the phone.

Overall, if you want a phone that’s quietly tucked under the ₱20,000 mark then the realme 15T is definitely one for you.
