OPPO A5 Pro 5G Review – Toughest Budget-Friendly OPPO Phone for 2025
Here’s my OPPO A5 Pro 5G Review which might just be the toughest budget-friendly OPPO smartphone in 2025 and is available in stores and online thru Shopee, Tiktok and Lazada for just P15,999 and available in Bloom Pink and Mocha Brown colorways.
Design
The OPPO A5 Pro 5G is a great smartphone to bring with thanks to the multiple colors available as well as it’s slim profile. There are three (3) variants for you to choose from namely Mocha Brown, Olive Green and Flower Pink. Both Flower Pink and Mocha Brown clock in with 7.76mm while the Olive Green version is slightly thicker with 7.86mm.
Included also in the design is it’s built-in toughness with this phone getting rated for IP69, IP68, and IP66 dust and water resistance. This means it can withstand hotter conditions and cold fresh water making it the perfect smartphone to use when looking for a smartphone that’s easy on the budget but also strong enough to last a summer outing or trip out of town.
Of course this comes in handy when accidents or slips occur. On top of this, you also can depend on water resistance.
Display
The OPPO A5 Pro 5G is also up there in terms of display quality. The phone has a 6.67 inch LCD display with 86.2% screen-to-body ratio and resolution of 720 x 1604 pixels. Not my ideal screen resolution size but it works nonetheless.
For it’s price point I did enjoy using the A5 Pro 5G because of the refresh rate and the 1,000 nits of brightness packed on the screen regardless whether its dark or bright and sunny outside.
Camera
For the price range and the tier that this phone falls under, I’m totally ok. For the main camera we have a 50M P f/ 1.8 main, AF and a 2MP f/2.4 mono lens and they can take some pretty good pictures. Here are samples.

This new watermark / frame looks so good too so props to OPPO for adding this in. For video outputs you can also expect 1080p@30fps for both main and front camera.
Battery
For consumers and buyers who want to max out their phone’s juice, you’ll enjoy the OPPO A5 Pro 5G because it comes with a 5800 mAh battery that can last you at the very least a day. In my case, this was able to last me for a whole day of events which includes continuous use of mobile data and bouts of gaming in the form of Mobile Legends Bang Bang and Genshin Impact.
For your charging needs, the OPPO A5 Pro 5G can do fast-charging at 45W and you can achieved 50% in just 35 minutes.
Performance
In terms of gaming and normal usage, it can’t be beat because it works extremely well and I can honestly say that for it’s price point you’re getting more of what you’re paying for and that is something especially with the slew of smartphones that already came out earlier this year with the same gimmick (waterproofing).
