Mihoyo introduces new Genshin Impact characters Yun Jin and Shenhe

MiHoYo is  busy brand right now withe upcoming Genshin Impact version 2.3 rolling in a day or two and at the same time revealing two new characters namely Yun Jin and Shenhe.

Surprisingly, both these characters are polearm users which makes them all the more appealing.

Here’s a little bit more information and details about these new characters.

Shenhe

Shenhe, the Cryo polearm user, comes from a line of exorcists. However, she came into the tutelage of Cloud Retainer for reasons currently unknown.

I’m betting she has a connection with Chou. The claymore cryo character who also functions as an exorcist who has never exorcised a spirit too.

Yun Jin

Yun Jin, on the other hand, is a Geo polearm user and the director of the Yun-Han Opera Troupe. Yun Jin is something of a celebrity in Liyue

I’d like to see her interact with Xiangling and Zhongli for her appearance in the game.

I also want to point out that these characters are also very much Chinese based so it could mean future adventures could bring players to the Liyue for new adventures. Maybe they will be opening new areas in the Liyue region as Genshin Impact continues to grow the size of the map.

Meanwhile Genshin Impact version 2.3 will bringing familiar 5 star characters for people to wish for including Albedo and Eula. The latter half of the update will also bring new characters like archer Gorou and claymore wildman Itto Arataki.
