Justice League Unlimited # 4 Spoilers – The Legion of Doom Returns

The Legion of Doom finally make their move in the pages of the current volume of the Justice League books namely Justice League Unlimited # 4 by Mark Waid and Dan Mora!

So in this issue, the league sign up to protect the world leaders in the G20 Summit with a team composed of Green Lantern Hal Jordan, Star Sapphire Carol Ferris, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, The Flash Barry Allen and Impulse. The team are looking to foil the mysterious group known as Inferno and they believe that they will be attacking this summit. And they were right on the money because as soon as everything starts, the people in attendance gets transported somewhere entirely different and they are also bombarded by an unknown psychic assailant. Back in the Hall of Justice, Batman and Martian Manhunter consult The Atom aka Ray Palmer about J’onn’s missing powers and its revealed that it was spotted in Africa but was suddenly whisked away around the same time that the attack in the summit happened.

Back with the team, they are able to escape thanks to Supergirl realizing that they were all sent to the Phantom Zone by their enemies. They quickly make their escape but its also revealed that one of the people in attendance was none other than…

Gorilla Grodd who also claims his part of an unknown deal with the League’s latest recruit, Airwave who transports Grodd away from the base and back to his team.

The Legion of Doom is back with sadly no Cheetah in this iteration. We do have some powerful guys in the mix like Bizarro and Sinestro. Still this is a good lineup and kind of mirrors the Forever Evil lineup if you still remember that story from a few years ago.

Either way, this will also kick off the crossover story between Mark Waid’s two ongoing books namely Justice League Unlimited and Batman/Superman: World’s Finest. This should be interesting.
