Here’s our first look at actor Nick Frost as Hagrid in HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter TV series

Frost has appeared in a number of high profile projects including How To Train Your Dragon, Skeleton Crew, Fighting with My Family, Tomb Raider, Doctor Who, Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead.
The role was previously played by Robby Coltrane. In the photo with Frost is the new Harry Potter for the HBO series played by Dominic McLaughlin. New HBO Potter is also joined by Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.
The cast also includes Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander.
The upcoming series is written and executive produced by Francesca Gardiner. Mark Mylod will executive produce and direct multiple episodes of the series for HBO in association with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television. The series is executive produced by J.K. Rowling, Neil Blair, and Ruth Kenley-Letts of Brontë Film and TV, and David Heyman of Heyday Films.
