So far there’s very details we got online. We did get an unconfirmed synopsis for the film which reads:
“This follow-up film will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.”
We know that main stars Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya are reprising their roles as well as the rest of the cast who made it out alive by the end of the first movie which was directed by Denis Villaneuve. So that means Jason Momoa’s Duncan Idaho won’t be here because he’s already dead in the first film.
The movie is shooting in Budapest, Hungary, where “Part One” was shot as well. The shoot will next head to Italy.
We also have a number of new cast members for this sequel and they are all big names too.
Léa Seydoux Is Lady Margot
Christopher Walken Is the Emperor
Austin Butler Is Feyd-Rautha
Florence Pugh still unconfirmed as Princess Irulan
The movie is also set for release 2023 and they already promised to have a ton of IMAX scenes
