Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 6 Spoilers – Explaining the Cameo
Let’s do Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 6 Spoilers focusing on the cameo that appeared at the end of the Disney+ series!
Before we proceed, SPOILER ALERT
So at the end of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, we see Ben Kenobi leaving his original home in Tatooine and saying goodbye to his “neighbors” Owen Lars, Beru Lars and their nephew Luke Skywalker even doing his classic “Hello There” before leaving beyond the “Dune Sea”.
After that scene, we see Ben Kenobi riding off into the sunset getting ready to set up a new home for himself while keeping Anakin nearby. He stops when he spots an apparition up ahead.
The figure turns around and its…
The pair continue on their journey and its implied they will be doing a lot of catching up.
So why did Qui-Gon Jinn appear just now?
Althroughout the season, we see Obi-Wan trying to communicate with his master. In Episode 1 he has a vision and tries to reach out to his master in the dark to no avail.
Before facing Darth Vader he also tries to reach out and nothing happens.
But after his climatic battle with his former padawan, he has forgiven himself and moved on from his guilt and is now able to connect to the Force, the “living” force better.
Also you have to note that Yoda had already taught him how to communicate with Force Ghosts like Qui-Gon Jinn but because of so much trauma he had experience by the end of Revenge of the Sith, he’s not able to make contact. It’s like a kid already given the formula but still can’t solve the problem.
What happens after Obi-Wan Kenobi season 1?
In terms of stories, Ben went silent around this time. Possibly living a normal life while keeping tabs with Luke Skywalker from a distance, making sure no Sith can find him. That’s until his other charge Leia comes calling for help in “A New Hope” plus the tragic death of Owen and Beru Lars.
This could also be the time he uses to learn how to become stronger and eventually become a Force Ghost; which ties neatly to what he did in his final lightsaber duel with Darth Vader.
Could there be a Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2?
No word yet from Lucasfilm and Disney. But while that still up in the air, they left a door wide enough for a season 2. The question now is what’s going to happen and what story could fill up an entire season?
