Chito Roño to direct Darna TV series with Jane De Leon

After floating in limbo for sometime now, we now have an official director for the Darna TV series that ABS-CBN has been developing and that would be direk Chito Roño.

ABS-CBN prepared a statement and a post that was shared on their social media regarding Roño taking over as the series’ director which you can see above.

The director for the Darna TV series has long been waited for by fans. During its hey days when the project was still developed as a movie it was Erik Matti who was tasked with making the Filipina heroine created by Mars Ravelo fly again.

Then Angel Locsin bowed out of the project, got replaced by Liza Soberano. Then Matti stepped down, got replaced by Jerold Tarrog of Heneral Luna fame. Then Liza also quit the job passing it over to Jane De Leon.

The Kapamilya channel also announced that there would be a special cast reveal happening on October 5 via their youtube and Facebook channels.

This one is also something that fans want to see because we only have heard of Jane as Darna and her alter ego Narda but nothing of her colorful supporting cast
