Idris Elba as Knuckles the Echidna for Sonic the Hedgehog sequel

The Suicide Squad star Idris Elba who played breakout star Bloodsport recently teased his next project which will be voicework for Sonic the Hedgehog sequel. That’s right, Idris Elba as Knuckles the Echidna is actually happening!

The Instagram post he did featured a close up of Knuckles’ knuckles together with the caption “knock knock”.

The Sonic the Hedgehog sequel, still currently untitled and just referred to as Sonic 2 was in production amidst the lockdown and they even started to shoot outdoor scenes with standees for Sonic as well as the new characters to the film franchise Knuckles the Echidna and Tails.

With The Suicide Squad star already confirmin his commitment to the franchise, Knuckles won’t just be a standee anymore but rather a cool character with a sexy Brit voice.
