Kitamura Takumi spotted in costume as Yusuke Urameshi for Netflix’s Yu Yu Hakusho adaptation

Netflix is definitey busying adapting and churning out anime content and today we are looking at a photo from the set of the live-action Yu Yu Hakusho series they are developing with actor Kitamura Takumi reportedly playing main character Yusuke Urameshi.

The series is set to premiere either end of the year or early 2022 and it looks like they are trying to get the looks for the characters down pat.

In the story, Urameshi is given a second life as a spirit detective sent to investigate various supernatural activities which pits him against tough demons and ghosts. Along the way he builds a bonds and makes friends and ultimately unlocks a secret about his past which has ties to his demonic heritage.

I also wouldn’t mind getting an updated version of the anime’s popular song.

God that song’s iconic.
