Was that a blackface during the MYMP Facebook live session?

So it looks like people did notice that the band MYMP had done a blackface costume for their Halloween concert this weekend.

The band was doing a concert when their male vocalist and Chin appeared online in a Jimmy Hendrix inspired look for his Halloween costume. Apparently they were making a statement regarding the #BlackLivesMatter movement which was the reason for the costume choice.

Many fans were visibly confused and some were even triggered because wearing black face paint these days means that you are doing something called “blackface”.

Some of the comments were calling out the band for their costume choice while others wanted to continue the concert. Hopefully though this was an honest mistake and not something that they intentionally did to gain attention.

If they are not aware then that could mean that they need to be informed that this is considered offensive and rude especially for the black community.
