Dwayne Johnson announces he has COVID-19
Shocking news rocked the world today when Dwayne Johnson announces he has COVID-19!
The Hollywood leading man and former WWE Champion announced that he has COVID-19 as well as his family on social media today. He actually posted an 11-minute video on Instagram about his current condition.
And we quote:
Stay disciplined.
Boost your immune system.
Commit to wellness.
Wear your mask.
Protect your family.
Be strict about having people over your house or gatherings.
Stay positive.
And care for your fellow human beings.Stay healthy, my friends.
The Rock is currently on the road to recovery together with his two daughters and his wife Lauren Hashian. They have been afflicted by the disease for the past three weeks now apparently. And while the kids are getting the mild symptoms of the coronavirus, Johnson and his wife are getting the more difficult aspect and symptoms.
“I can tell you this has been one of the most challenging and difficult things we have ever had to endure as a family,” Johnson said. “And for me, personally, too, as well. I’ve gone through some doozies in the past. I’ve gotten knocked about and gotten my ass kicked a little bit in the past with some challenges. But testing positive for COVID-19 is much different than overcoming nasty injuries or being evicted or even being broke, which I have been more than a few times.”
In his IGTV entry, he also says that their family may have gotten the coronavirus from family friends who visited them some time in the past.
He also states that he cares for people NOT getting the virus regardless of political affiliation, race, job or financial standing. He wants everybody to do their part and stay healthy.
“I do believe in hope, I do believe in optimism. I do believe in our doctors, our epidemiologists, our scientists who are all working so hard to deliver the vaccines for us. And that’s gonna happen. But that’s then. This is now. What we can do now is we can control the controllables.”
Johnson recently appeared in DC FanDome to promote his upcoming project Black Adam. He has appeared in big Hollywood films in recent years from “The Fast and Furious” films to its spinoff “Hobbs and Shaw” to San Andreas and Skyscraper. He is also the current owner of the XFL.
