Savage Avengers Team Book Announced with Conan the Barbarian

Because Wolverine is kinda back in the Marvel universe, it was only natural that they would do a new book. This time we have new details for the Savage Avengers book with Wolverine and Conan the Barbarian.

This new deadly team of Avengers will also include characters like Brother Voodoo aka Jericho Drumm, Elektra, Punisher and Venom.

Interestingly enough, three of the six members of this team were former members of Red Hulk’s Thunderbolts team.

This series will be written by Gerry Duggan with art by Mike Deodato Jr. This isn’t the only Savage series that Duggan is spearheading. He’s also writing the ongoing Savage Sword of Conan.

And because the two books have the same writer, it’s got more flow. According to the writer, Conan will be appearing in the Savage Land and will clash will Wolverine as he searches for an amulet that wizards from his world is trading with the Hand.

This may be interesting.  But I can’t help compare it to X-Force and Uncanny X-Force especially with Wolverine in the team.
