Hunt for Wolverine: Dead Ends Reveals Where Logan is at the Start of “Return of Wolverine” # 1

The ending for this week’s Hunt for Wolverine: Dead Ends not only showed readers where Wolverine is at the moment but also shows just how much a threat the new enemy is for the heroes who are looking for the feral mutant.

In this one-shot, all the pieces of the puzzle on who took Logan’s remains gets answered, paving the way for the mutant’s return on 19th September.

So anyway, all the four miniseries tied back or is connected to the company called Soteira. They had been responsible for stealing Mister Sinister’s genetic database, they were also the source of the zombie outbreak that Sabretooth, Mystique and Daken had to take care of, as well as the company that sent Wolverine on secret missions including ones in Madripoor.

Before any action can be done however, four “bullets” from space were sent to the Xavier School and while they all get dispatched quickly, it was only a distraction for whoever strewn 10 dead bodies of people with latent mutant abilities on the doorstep of the school.

Later we finally see Logan, tied up very similarly to his X-Men cover during the Outback era, along with his new claw powers.

What happens next to Wolverine after the Hunt for Wolverine saga comes to a close? I guess you and me will find out on September 19th with the release of Return of Woverine# 1 by Charles Soule and Steve McNiven.
