Avengers Infinity War will not only bring Thor back to the fold as well as bring in the Guardians of the Galaxy. More importantly, as revealed by a leaked Avengers Infinity War funko pop image, the god of thunder will be getting a new hammer dubbed Stormbreaker.

The newest look at Stormbreaker comes from an upcoming Avengers Infinity War figure which depicts the god of thunder together with his double threat weapon to replace the broken Mjolnir. Check out the photos below.

Avengers Infinity War – Thor and Stormbreaker

Additional context, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) lost his hammer Mjolnir in the initial fight with his sister Hela (Cate Blanchett) in Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok. He’s been without a hammer even after his last fight with his sister and beyond that. It looks like his off-screen encounter with Thanos and the rest of his Black Order will push the thunderer to consider getting a more powerful weapon that can both channel his powers and at the same time use as a melee weapon when the need arises.

This isn’t the standard Marvel Legends toy but it does come from Hasbro.

You’ll also notice that this wave also features characters like the blonde Black Widow, Star-Lord and a bearded Steve Rogers aka Captain America.

Avengers Infinity War is slated for release April 2018 from Walt Disney Studios Philippines and will be directed by the Russo Brothers.
