First Look at Rukia Kuchiki for the Live Action Bleach Movie

Today we got our first look at Rukia Kuchiki for the upcoming Bleach live action movie.

The movie’s in post-production now and we’ve seen location shoots for the movie featuring the lead character Ichigo Kurosaki played by Sota Fukushi who also played Kamen Rider Fourze.

Rukia Kuchiki on the other hand will be played by Hana Sugisaki

Hana Sugisaki has appeared in several movies and TVs in the past, most notably she appeared in the film “Blade of the Immortal” where she played Rin Asano. She also made an appearance in the Japanese series Boys over Flowers season 2.

Rukia was a shinigami that crossed paths with Ichigo in Karakura Town and was also the one responsible for him becoming a ‘substitute shinigami’. While she looks weak at the start of the series, she progresses and by the time the story ends in the manga, she’s become a respectable vice captain in Soul Society.

The Bleach live action movie is slated for release July 20, 2018 and will be directed by Shinsuke Sato.
