Denden Lazaro Gets Bashed for Not Taking an “Akbay” during Photo Op

I’m pissed at the people who are bashing volleyball player Denden Lazaro in a video that has gone viral where she’s being pegged as “mayabang” (in english, arrogant) for not being “too accomodating” to a fan who wanted to get a photo taken with her.

So here’s the thing, tatagalugin ko na para sa mga tanga na nagagalit dahil “maldita” daw ang volleybelle…

Kitang kita naman sa video na last minute tinaas ni koya yung kamay nya for the “akbay move”. Whether its intentional or not, halatang naging uncomfortable siya sa setup. Kaya sya umalis agad.

But the way it’s being shared on social media (the video’s been edited by the way and shared by a lady) is that yung girl pa yung masama.

Christ, these people.

So medyo nabastusan ka na, ikaw na yung hindi nag-walk out tapos ikaw pa yung may “attitude”. Our society talaga.

Also why is the dude hiding in a sticker?

Before the comments for the original source of the video becomes a cancer-stricken place, my wife and I checked out the comments. I like that there are people who actually commented defending Denden Lazaro’s actions. To them, this was clearly the fault of the guy who had his picture taken. Akbay moves nga kasi.

There were some “alaskadors” naman who say na kaya pinagtatanggol is because “chicks” or because “maganda” yung girl. To them I say, tanga kayo? Kung sa anak nyong babae gawin yan? Matuwa kaya kayo?! And kung maayos kang lalake, regardless kung kamukha ni Bakekang (the character) or kahit si Pia Wurtzbach pa yan, you’d do something right?

We live in a nasty society. The only way WE as a people can survive this is kung nagtutulungan tayo and call out the shitty things. That was clearly a shitty thing and yet there are people who “victim blame”. Like I always say, “Kaya hindi umuunlad ang Pilipinas eh”.

No Consent and Invasive

Also kelangan ko palang idagdag na walang consente yung akbay. Tanga ka kung sasabihin mong hindi kelangan ng consent mapa lalake man o babae. Ikaw kaya, kurutin ko pwet mo, di tayo magkakilala, malamang magwala ka.

Isa pa, invasion sa personal space yan e. Kung gusto nyang pumasok ka sa personal space nya, gagawin nya yun. Or sasabihin nya isa pang pic tapos akbay. Pero yung hokage moves? Nakow, bad yan. And I know that celebs tend to do that. Mga sir at maam, matagal na ako nagcocover ng entertainment beat, so alam ko sinasabi ko.

Bottomline

Kung sasawsaw ka sa issue at makikisabi na “mayabang yung tao”, isipin mo muna na sya yung na-alanganin.  Pero kung si Xander Ford ang paguusapan natin…. sa ibang post tayo magusap. Capish?
