Aquaman and Batman Team Up in Dark Days: The Forge # 1 Preview
DC Comics has released a few pages of Dark Days: The Forge # 1 featuring the art of John Romita Jr. and Andy Kubert.
I believe they were teasing Dark Days and subsequently the Snyder-Capullo opus Dark Nights: Metal as a lead up to the introduction to a “Dark Universe” or something to that effect. And they were quick to correct that this isn’t just Earth 3, something more sinister.
And we can see as early as these preview pages that they are definitely delving into the mythos of Hawkman and Thanagar and it’s existence within Earth’s history.
There’s also a cool rescue mission where Batman and Aquaman team-up. Yeah, just like in the trailer for Justice League.
It’s also figuring in the return of the Blackhawks.
There’s also a few pages of Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) dealing with Duke in the Batcave.
We also have an appearance of Mr. Terrific in a page drawn by JRJR.
DARKNESS COMES TO THE DC UNIVERSE WITH THE MYSTERY OF THE FORGE! Aquaman, The Flash and more of DC’s pantheon of heroes suspect Batman of hiding a dark secret that could threaten the very existence of the multiverse! It’s an epic that will span generations—but how does it connect to the origins of one of DC’s most legendary heroes?
The great comics event of summer 2017 is about to begin courtesy of superstar writers Scott Snyder and James Tynion III and illustrated by a master class of comics artists: Andy Kubert, Jim Lee and John Romita Jr.! You do not want to miss this one!
