DC K.O. # 2 Spoilers – Lex Luthor takes out Superman in a surprising way

Let’s take a look at one of the big subplots for the ongoing DC Comics event, DC K.O. focusing on the never-ending battle between Superman and Lex Luthor, with Lex surprisingly gaining the upper hand against the Man of Steel. DC K.O. # 2 spoilers incoming written by Scott Snyder and Javi Fernandez!

With the survivors of the first round already sent to the next stage including Superman and members of the Justice League Unlimited plus some surprising villains from the Legion of Doom including Lex Luthor, the Heart of Apokolips reveals what the next round of fighting would be and that would a fetch quest with several powerful items from the DC Universe lying around to be used by the heroes and villains. Apparently, those individuals who are able to secure their own items would proceed to the next round.

When the signal was given, Luthor quickly rushes to collect one of these items, revealing that he’s using all sorts of scanners to help him secure an artifact and ensure that he makes it to the next round.

Superman is hot on his heels and tries to stop him from getting his hands on these powerful items.

Initially Superman has the upper hand in the fight beating up Lex Luthor but Luthor brings out his secret weapon, a gaggle of Kryptonite of different colors each having their own effect on the Big Blue Boy Scout.

This encounter ends with Luthor chopping up Superman’s hand.

Later in DC K.O. # 2, Luthor gets a hold of a bunch of Lantern Corp rings including the Black Lantern rings. He uses the Black Lantern rings to bring back the dead elder gods whose corpses are littered around the battleground.

In the last moment, Superman remembers that there was one last item that has never been announced and Clark realizes what it was after all this time. It was the Omega Sanction, the same power that Darkseid uses to disintegrate his enemies.

The Omega Sanction also brings back Clark’s missing. Before Superman can do anything to prevent Lex Luthor from proceeding by beating him up, the round ends and they proceed to the next round.
