SINGAPORE – 4 December 2025 – Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia and SQUARE ENIX are pleased to announce that OCTOPATH TRAVELER 0 – a HD-2D turn-based RPG featuring a standalone story set before the critically-acclaimed OCTOPATH TRAVELER – is available now on Nintendo Switch™ 2, Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam®* and Microsoft Store with the physical edition available now on Nintendo Switch™ 2, Nintendo Switch™ and PlayStation®5.
*Steam® version is scheduled for release on 5 December 2025.

Octopath Traveler 0 Trailer

Aside to the game’s launch the game’s free consumer demo is also available, allowing players to carry their save data from the demo into the full game upon purchase. The demo sets the stage as players create their own custom protagonist and embark on a journey of their own creation following the destruction of their hometown. The demo provides up to three hours of content, with the ability to play through the beginning Prologue and Chapter 1 of the Master of Wealth, Master of Power and Master of Fame story arcs. Within those three hours, players can also experience Chapter 1 of the Kindlers of the Flame story arc, which allows them to try the all-new Town Building feature to restore their hometown of Wishvale.

Save Data Bonus Campaign

The Save Data Bonus Campaign for OCTOPATH TRAVELER 0 allows players who have save data or play data for relevant demos from OCTOPATH TRAVELER, OCTOPATH TRAVELER II, BRAVELY DEFAULT FLYING FAIRY HD Remaster, DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake or DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake on their system (or purchase history of these titles on accounts for some systems) to redeem bonus items in OCTOPATH TRAVELER 0.

About OCTOPATH TRAVELER 0
In OCTOPATH TRAVELER 0, players will experience a story of restoration and retribution over the divine rings in an epic saga that unfolds across the realm of Orsterra. The game features returning core elements from the series, and–for the first time in series history–players will be able to customise their own protagonist and rebuild their hometown after it has been destroyed. The story builds upon that of the mobile game OCTOPATH TRAVELER: Champions of the Continent, adding new story content where players rebuild their town, and reinterpreted story beats unfold throughout. Fans familiar with the series can enjoy the return of its iconic HD-2D art style, the ability to interact with other characters in various ways through Path Actions, and the Break and Boost battle system which can turn the tide of battle.
