The Growing Demand of Nicotine Pouches in the Philippines
The nicotine pouch category is steadily gaining traction in the Philippines as more adult smokers and nicotine users seek alternatives to consume nicotine. Characterized by being no-smoke, no-odor, and no-vapor, nicotine pouches continue to show growth across major retail channels because of the increasing awareness and trial among nicotine consumers.

Introduced to the Philippine market by Nordic Spirit in 2023, nicotine pouches remain to be a new product in the nicotine category. And since its entry, there has been an increase in awareness and availability, particularly across major convenience store chains.
As more Filipinos become informed and the product becomes more widely distributed, nicotine pouches have seen tremendous growth in sales. Recent raw Point of Sale (POS) data from leading convenience stores show that Nordic Spirit ranked as the top-selling nicotine pouch brand in the country for five consecutive months, from February to June 2025.
“This signals a growing interest in this emerging segment, and shows that the category is gaining traction among Filipino consumers,” said Karin Tan, Reduced-Risk Products (RRP) Category Director at JTI Philippines. “We’re seeing evolving preferences in how nicotine is consumed, and nicotine pouches are becoming part of that shift,” she added.
Today, nicotine pouches continue to expand its reach, providing Filipinos with even more ways to consume nicotine. They are available in a range of flavors and strengths to suit different preferences available in various convenience stores nationwide, as well as through select vape shops and e-commerce platforms.
