Cavill’s appearance in Deadpool and Wolverine was short and sweet but had a big positive impact. In the Shawn Levy-directed film, Deadpool goes across the multiverse looking for a suitable Wolverine to replace the dead “Anchor Being” Wolverine who died during the events of James Mangold’s Logan. Deadpool goes through a number of alternate realities with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in different looks but in one particular universe, he finds the “Cavillrine” who he says will be taken care of better in the Marvel Cinematic Universe compared to what he got in the DCEU or DC Expanded Universe. Of course, the muscular former Superman just punched Deadpool out of his universe and that was that. We did get a few seconds of Cavill looking from his side with cigar in mouth and working on his bike which is a cool thing to see.
